I’m a private programmer and multimedia specialist, I create websites for individual businesses and specialize in User Experience (UX) Web 2.0 (the next generation of the web). As a programmer, I like to have flexibility and an upgrade path that works, as a multimedia artist, I require bandwidth to deliver video and audio assets to viewers and as a human being and one who has never had a reseller account before and doesn’t necessarily understand the administration as much as I’d like, I need easy to understand tutorials and fast turnaround of support questions.

In May I was building a website for my first client, for their budget, they could only afford a Joomla CMS setup and so I began the search for a provider who wouldn’t break the bank of my customer and supported Joomla or at least understood it. After researching I came across VERSION-NEXT, then came the human test! I picked up the phone and dialed the number for customer support/sales, within 3 rings, it was answered politely by a real person! SOLD!

While I like to read tutorials and will invest time in trying to find the answers for myself, I know that if all else fails, without a doubt VERSION-NEXT has me covered where I can ring and speak to a human being. An important benefit in a world of talking to computers.

It has been 6 months since my first website and after a rocky business start, I’ve opened my reseller account to provide my customers with reliable, accountable hosting. VERSION-NEXT have been bombarded with questions from me and not once have they treated me with anything but professional courtesy and full and explicit answers. So it is my pleasure to pen (shows how old I am) a few words on behalf of the folks at VERSION-NEXT and the host in general.

First I am 62 years, and not computer literate. I wanted to write a Web Page. I went into sites and viewed the source and found a lot of code that in general was quite confusing, so I searched through Microsoft and came up with FrontPage. This was great as it allowed me to see how plain text was formatted in HTML and my first site was designed. I went to a WP Designer to find out a good Host and thankfully he recommended VERSION-NEXT, and so began an enjoyable journey.

After registering and purchasing our domain name I thought we were ready to post to the web, not easy for a caveman to do. An enquiry to VERSION-NEXT resulted in me, in line with their suggestion, using Mozilla composer to recreate the site. After many days and many more questions to VERSION-NEXT I had my site finished; I thought! Now how do I get it on the web? Back to VERSION-NEXT, these guys must be getting sick of me by now, and put my question, again full and helpful instructions were forthcoming, and resulted in the page being posted on the Web.

Even then it required many more questions and answers including much patience on behalf of VERSION-NEXT, my site is running with keywords inserted and it is logged into search engines.

I cannot thank them enough or extol their patience and knowledge highly enough, these people made a confusing task clear resulting in our site being up and running. I know in the future I will redesign and reformat the site to be more ‘professional’ but it doing what we want.
